A huge new development has been unveiled for west of Paddock Wood in Kent. Property developer Crest Nicholson has shared plans for a brand-new village, which would bring up to 800 new homes to the area.
The project isn't just about houses - it's being designed as a proper community. The plans include local shops, sports pitches, play areas for children, and even a designated traveller site. What's more, about 40% of the homes will be classed as 'affordable housing', which means they'll be priced at a level which is more accessible to local families.
Schools are also part of the picture, with proposals for a new primary school and potentially even a secondary school in the future. A full planning application is expected to be submitted by Autumn 2025, and if approved, it could mark one of the most significant new housing developments in Kent in recent years.
